We Need Writers

Thanks for your interest in our call for writers. The following is information about us and our vision.  MarquetteMagazine.com is an online magazine based in Marquette, Michigan. Our main focus is the Marquette county area in the Upper Peninsula but we also feature many topics that are relevant not only to our local audience but to the human race as a whole.

We are creating this magazine because we want to bring thought-provoking, educational, and entertaining media to anyone with an Internet connection.  We believe that the mainstream media increasingly practices self-censorship and serves as propoganda machines. Due to this lack of equal representation it’s often very hard to get an accurate picture of an issue.

Because of funding restraints, we are unable to provide any financial compensation for our writers to publish their work on MarquetteMagazine.com. However, your written contributions are a great way to:

  • Create a resume as a writer.
  • Share your thoughts with the community.
  • Build your voice as an authority in your field.
  • Expose false or misleading events misrepresented by the mainstream media or alternative opinions.

What we can provide is:

  •  Quality platform to share your creativity, passion, knowledge, and dedication with the rest of the world.
  • The chance to empower and provide people with the resources and information to have a more well-rounded perspective.

The following guidelines will be applied:

Previous experience as a writer is not necessary but we ask all writers to submit at least one sample (or excerpt) of their work. – MarquetteMagazine.com reserves the right to deny and refuse any article it deems unfit for publication. We also reserve the right to edit any content which promotes advertising of specific products or solicits readers to contact third-party individuals or organizations (especially those not directly related to the article or study) – All writers are expected to include appropriate copyright information and reference sources for any scientific/professional quotes, theories, speculation, opinions, research or conclusions. – Topics may include:
