Negaunee Miners vs Inland Lakes Bulldogs 11-2-13 – The Miners sent the Bulldogs home with their tails between their legs today as they won the first round of their MHSAA high school football game with a shut-out score of 51-0.  The crowd was clearly enjoying this afternoon game with lots of kids playing mock games outside the fences, cheering fans and lively music from the marching band, all despite the cold wet weather. (hey, it beats the even colder night time temps of their usual after dark games!)

Since we squeezed in both MHSAA championship games today we missed the first half of Negaunee’s game against the Bulldogs and upon our arrival the Miners were already leading at 44-0 and the mercy clock was put into action.  A quick second half the Miners put more points on the board to complete their game domination and finish the game at 51-0.  With such a huge lead in the score most of the Negaunee starting line-up were already watching from the sidelines to prevent any injuries on the field giving the 2nd and 3rd stringers a chance to get their hands on the ball.
