Marquette, MI – The skies poured down on Marquette’s homecoming football game against the Negaunee Miners Friday, October 17, 2014.  Despite rain, wind, and 30 something degrees fans filled the bleachers to fuel the fire of competition between these two long-time rivals.

I just have to say that I have a whole new respect for yooper athletes after suffering through the first half of this high school football game dressed in multiple layers and ready to do battle with the weather.  The guys on the field suffered no less and they did it in one thin layer of spandex!

As I lost feeling in my fingers I couldn’t help but feel the pain these guys were toughing out as they attempted to throw, catch, and tackle on the muddy field.
