The game of ice hockey has been a local favorite in Marquette for generations continuing a longstanding tradition passed down from Canada where the sport (as it is known today) was originated in the late 1880’s.  Even since it’s roots about 4,000 years ago when the game originated on grass the sport has been known for it’s fierce and competitive energy.  That spirit is alive an well today on ice rinks across the U.P. and world at large.
