Although the temperature was cold the atmosphere was warm!  Lots of family and friends came out to support the racers and keep the hot chocolate flowing.  The spirit of both the competitors and the crowd was playful and everyone seemed to be having fun.

All this in such a beautiful environment especially with so much snow this year! The Noquemanon trail has been described by one as “the most beautiful trail I have ever skied on,” by others as “never dull,” and by a few as “deceptively tough.” One thing, however, remains constant: the beautifully rugged U.P. wilderness that surrounds skiers throughout the course. (as stated on the Superiorland Ski Club website)
