NMU Wildcats Hockey Shuts Out Alabama Huntsville For the Second Night In a Row!

Marquette, MI, Saturday, Nov. 23, 2013 – UPsportsphotos.com was at the Berry Events Center Saturday night as NMU vs Alabama Huntsville WCHA Hockey for the second of their 2 game series.  The Wildcats won 4-0 over Huntsville boosting their season standings to 4-2.

During the start of the game Alabama came out strong threatening to make up for the previous nights shut-out.  However, just before the end of the first period NMU made a power play by CJ Ludwig assisted by Stephan Vigier and Mitch Jones.  After that the Wildcats dominated the ice and shut-out Alabama for the second night in a row!  Additional goals were scored by Wade Epp who scored his first of the season, Reed Seckel, and Ryan Daugherty.

It was a great weekend for NMU hockey if you weren’t there you missed a good one!  let’s hope they play strong next weekend too!

Nov. 29 & 30 the Wildcats will face off against Ferris State on NMU home ice at the Berry Events Center in Marquette for another double header.
